How can I find subject information on politics or political issues?
From the Parliamentary Library's main page
there is a link to Guides
to Internet resources. This page introduces General
Resources, which points to various directories, guides, other library
sites and universities. There is also a guide to Media
Resources. E-Briefs
are electronic documents which provide background and commentary on current
topics, as well as web links.
The Parliamentary Library maintains Guides
to Internet resources with links to other Australian and international
resources on the World Wide Web. These cover:
Some of the links in these guides are to information created in house,
while others link to sites of interest for their information content and
usefulness to us and our clients.
Another way to find subject information is to use organised lists which
are subject based. We have found the sites on this list of subject-based
resources useful.
Sites that may not be mentioned in the subject pages can be found by
using search engines. Search engines are facilities that index URL's (Internet
adresses) on the WWW. Search Engines are also called web crawlers, spiders,
robots, and worms! We have created a guide to search
engines which includes a list of those we use most frequently.
